Our commitment

ReRoot App Inc. wants ReRoot — our website at reroot.app and our iOS and Android apps — to be usable by everyone, including people with low vision, blindness, colour blindness, and motor or cognitive disabilities.

Standard and status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

ReRoot is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. This means some parts of ReRoot may not yet fully conform to the standard.

What we do

  • Text and controls meet WCAG AA colour contrast.
  • The apps follow your phone's text size setting and support VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android).
  • The apps offer Higher contrast and Reduce motion options in Settings.
  • Buttons and form fields have labels.
  • The website can be navigated with a keyboard.

Known limitations

  • The interactive map can be hard to use with a screen reader. The list view offers the same people and information.
  • Photos uploaded by users may not have text descriptions.

We are continuing to improve.

Feedback and contact

If you have trouble using ReRoot or need information in another format, email connect@reroot.app. We aim to reply within 5 business days.

How we assessed ReRoot

We assessed the accessibility of ReRoot through self-evaluation and automated colour contrast checks.
